Can anyone help me with Amharic?

Been wanting to actually learn the language many of my distant relatives (Eritrean but they also speak Amharic+Tigrinya is less practical for me to learn right now), friends, and coworkers speak. Was very awkward growing up going to Habesha parties with cousins and there's all these people there but I have no clue what they're saying besides selam and injera (I pronounce it "in-jada", not "in-jeera" btw) lol. I definitely also want to learn before I travel to Ethiopia, which I for sure will.

If anyone could help, that'd be great.
