how do you actually learn from shows?

been trying to learn a new language (korean) (TL) by watching online shows on my laptop and honestly it's either I understand very little or I'm pausing every few seconds to look stuff up. feels like I'm not efficiently learning or getting anywhere

for people who learn from tv/youtube, what's your setup? what subs/product do you use? and at what point did it start feeling like actual watching instead of studying lol
