It's a weird question, but I've been thinking a lot recently about courses that teach mostly based on listening, like "Pimsleur" -> I honestly don't get why people like it, it felt SOOO slow to me and I suffered so much for 2 lessons until I couldn't anymore.. (It's only an hour but still haha)
Please explain what appeals to you in pure audio lessons, because I feel like I'm missing out and I know they were made by experts, so I should probably give it another go..
Can you please also mention the bad parts? I just want to understand the experience of other people with these methods.
(I mostly do CI - reading while listening at the same time, I often stop out of curiosity to check etymology, grammar, history etc which is not possible with audio based in the same way. My main goal with language learning is to become conversational and understand native content/conversations, ofc I also practice speaking once I feel like it)
