Do you ever analyze a whole video for the sake of improving your output language ability?

Let’s say you understand 98-99% of what you consume and you generally have no issues understanding native content in your TL. And let’s also say that you’re capable of having conversations about most topics in your TL.

Would you analyze content, be it audio or Tex, to internalize the exact way they speak? Or do you think that this is a waste of time?

As an example, you’re good enough at everyday conversations and small scale discussions, but you aim to sound more eloquent and in a higher level. Would this method be helpful or would jumping straight into it and doing it yourself yield better results?
