3rd and 4th language getting mixed up… is this normal?

Hi everyone,

My third foreign language is French, and I’ve recently started learning Danish. I’ve noticed that when I try to speak Danish, French words and structures automatically pop into my head instead.

Is this a common phenomenon? It feels like my brain doesn’t have clear “separate spaces” for each language, and they kind of blend together.

Curious if others have experienced this and whether it improves over time!
