I am a big fan of learning via comprehensible input (CI) and managed to learn Spanish this way while having fun the entire time. I would now like to learn Mandarin the same way. However, there seems to exist a much larger library of high-quality CI for Spanish than for Mandarin, thanks in large parts to Dreaming Spanish and Spanish Boost Gaming.
So now I would like to compile a list of methods used to reach Mandarin to a level where you can start consuming interesting native media (not just children's shows), and perhaps ask the people who made it to this impressive level a few follow-up questions.
