Hey! I got a job at a French school. I am the English side of a French bilingual class in a preschool. I’m excited to learn French. Although I have ZERO requirement to learn French, and I am retired to speak only my native language to the students- I think it will be EXTREMELY helpful to know French. What are the best tips/shows/ etc. how can I help immerse myself in the language.
The dollar store guy next to my house speaks French so I was going to talk to him. My co-teacher prefers to speak in French so I can practice with her. I have Duolingo and maxed out the free lessons on Umi. I have experimented with Rosetta Stone in the past.
I have a short attention span (for a former SPED teacher) and have problems building consistent habits. So apps aren’t always my jam. I’m quick to break a streak. This is a barrier to my language learning in the past.
I’m looking to really dig in and learn French this time. Please help!
What else can I do? Please and thank you!
