I'm thinking of taking the Italian proficiency exam (CELI) at C2 level at the end of the year. I'm quite confident in my everyday Italian skills, but I've never actually studied the language and I don't know where to start to cover any gaps in my knowledge. I have some grammar books at home and I'm also thinking of booking a teacher on italki who specializes in this exam. Other than that, I'm a bit lost at the moment. I think my weakest point might be the oral exam because of anxiety, which is why I thought of italki, but I don't know if it would be more effective to just find someone online to talk to so I can loosen up, or if the ideal thing would be to look for a course focused on C2 to make sure I know what I'm missing for the exam. How did you prepare for a proficiency exam at this level (even if it was for another language)? What was your routine like, and how did you figure out what you needed to work on to get a good result?
