Do you think it's a great method?
It's pretty satisfying for me. I can hear the meaning in English while I read in my target language. It's so fast because I don't have to read the same sentence twice in two languages.And I'm getting lots of "comprehensible input". Often times I go, "Oh this word must mean this!"
The only downside I see is it's reading-intensive and not much exposure to how the language actually sounds.
If you have yet a better technique, I'm all ears!
