As an Asian person, no one will be impressed if I speak Korean. In fact, I can go to Korea or a Korean restaurant and people won't question it, or will think I'm a foreigner with bad pronounciation. But if I speak even a bit of Arabic or Hindi, everyone seems amazed and I get a lot more praise.
