I'm roughly A2/B1 in my TL. I still find it embarrassing to use idioms. For example, in Creole you say, "F'on ti chita" to wait a minute. Literally it translates into English as "Make a little sit". I have so much trouble squeaking that out. I often revert to the more clumsy but understandable, "Yon minit, souple" because of it's similarity to English. When do you get over this?
