People who suffer from generalized or social anxiety: how do you cope with it when talking to native speakers?

I've seen some posts of language learners here who have a tough time feeling comfortable talking to native speakers. I guess most of us have experienced that at one point or another, but normal anxiety usually disappears after you realize that you're doing well in the language or when natives praise your language skills, and so on.

However, for those with an anxiety disorder, the fear of being judged, performing poorly, making too many mistakes, having a thick accent, and more, are a way bigger and more serious problem that doesn't go away, no matter if you're even living where your TL (or one of them) is spoken and you talk to people daily (that's my case). It's something that causes problems even when we communicate in our native language, even if it's not as bad as when speaking a foreign language. One of the results is that many language learners avoid speaking to natives and further delay their progress.

So, in short, my questions are: How much do you feel your anxiety disorder impacts your communication and progress in your TL? And what are your strategies (if any) for coping with your anxiety disorder when speaking, and especially when talking to natives?
