Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how the CLS site placement process works? Does it seem as though the selection committees carefully consider applicants’ interests and goals, or does it seem rather random? I’d really prefer to study Arabic in Jordan due to the dialect’s usefulness for working with Syrian refugees (and I will mention this in my application, of course).
