I have family in Brazil and have been teaching myself Portuguese since lockdown but haven't gotten as far as I'd like for various reasons, mostly life getting in the way. I have a chance to put life on hold and defer my uni placement to sept 2023 instead of Sept 2022 in which time I could live in Goiana. I was thinking of teaching English whilst immersing myself to become fluent in Portuguese.
So reddit, what are some things I should consider? Does anyone know what Goiana is like? I visited once when I was young but can't remember too much.
