I’ve always wanted to learn French and I may have an opportunity to pick up some textbooks and CDs targeted towards beginners but I don’t know if I should bother starting right now or if I should wait. I leave for Marine Corps Boot Camp September 8th. Am I likely to forget what I learned in the 3 months I am there with no exposure to French at all? I just don’t want to start learning the language and then forget it all and start over again after I graduate boot camp. Any advice would help. Thank you.
