Now I’m not even close to fluent in my 2nd to be able to learn a 3rd from it, but I’m just asking out of curiosity. Would it be reasonable to, say, learn French as a second language, and then a year or two later, you want to try to learn German. Instead of doing an English to German learning method, you do a French to German learning where you’re translating words and sentences from French to German and learning how to implement German grammar from a French viewpoint? Sorry if my question doesn’t make a whole lot of sense but I hope you get the idea
