I started learning Korean a few months ago but I still can't understand lots of words

It's one of my goals to be able to speak well in another language other than my native language which is Tagalog; I've always been interested in Korea's culture so I tried learning their language but there are just too many words to memorize and I really find it difficult to form some sentences. Do you know any books, sites or videos that can help me????
