Hi, I’m an English speaker trying to figure out what to choose for a college minor. I plan to be a doctor (not sure if I’ll delve more into research or not if that matters) and many people tell me that Mandarin and Spanish are the most useful languages for those working in the medical field, I just wanted to know if that’s true? I have more interest in Japanese culture and plan on visiting someday while I’m less sure about China, but I don’t want to be turned down for jobs that prefer those that speak Mandarin. Any ideas?
