I seem to be terrible at it. Back in high school I was studying Icelandic. I was all about Icelandic and some Scandinavian languages. I had pretty much no interest in learning other languages. I had a Jewish friend. He was talking briefly about reading Hebrew or something. I thought to myself about how I’m not interested in learning Hebrew. No idea why I thought that. Now I’m studying Hebrew. I don’t think I’m too interested in learning East Asian languages, but maybe I will one day. I wasn’t all that interested in learning Hebrew.
