So, the title explains it all.
I am extremely fascinated by both languages & the corresponding cultures. I am not really swayed by utilitarian arguments for learning one language over the other (e.g. job opportunities, availability of resources, number of speakers, ease/difficulty of learning, etc.)
I was wondering if you all could offer any interesting facts about the respective languages that differentiate them from other languages: (i.e. what are some particular "quirks" to these languages)
Hopefully that makes sense - if not, I'll try to articulate in more depth!
