I'm currently going into my final year of school and my french is behind my other subjects. In my summer tests I only got 50% and I'd like to know some good ways to improve my french. Not sure if it's a problem but when I'm trying to form sentences/listen to the french, I try translate each sentence in my head. Is this the wrong way to work with languages? Should I instead be trying to improve my vocabulary and learn the structure of sentences?
