Watching Films Too Early in the Learning Process?

Is it a waste of time for a1/a2 learners to watch films with their native subtitles?

I only understand one word every few sentence (I've been learning just under a month and I am a1) so I may be wasting my time. Its something I watch when i'm tired from textbooks and duolingo.
