Why are theres so many ways to say beautiful in Spanish but only 2 ways to say beautiful in Italian?

Hi there! Italian and Spanish learner here, I've always wondered why Italian pretty much only has two ways to say "bello/a" and "carin/a" (if I'm not mistaken, these are really the only two). Whereas in Spanish there is at least 5 ways to say it "guapo/a", "bello/a", "bonito/a", "Lindo/a", and "Hermoso/a". Any clues as to why it may be? I just find it fascinating because when I'm Italy they put so much emphasis on the beauty in life yet in Spanish there are more ways to describe something as beautiful. Thank you!
