I’ll be learning Turkish soon. Native English speaker. I’ll be taking some private lessons to start, as I find group lessons ineffective at elementary levels because of a lack of group discussion.
Anyway, what’s a general rule of thumb as to how many hours a week are good for learning a language? Seeing as how private lessons can run around 50$ an hour, I wouldn’t want to take so many hours that I reach the point of diminishing returns.
Is there any number of hours per week that is just too much? Too little?
I’ll also be doing my homework on the side.
