January: Spring festival lesson plan

Sue brought us a spring festival-themed lesson plan for intermediate to upper-intermediate adult students in January last year – and many of you loved it!
The lesson plan covers the Songkran water festival in Thailand, the Las Fallas festival in Spain, the Holi festival in India, and Nowruz – the Persian New Year celebration. With language and lesson objectives taken straight from the Pearson Global Scale of English (GSE) Teacher Toolkit, the class introduces your students to a range of festival and celebration-themed vocabulary. Your students will also read about the four festivals and write an email to a friend.
