Best way to learn language if can speak but not read and write.

I grew up in China, and mandarin was my first language, as a result, I can speak it pretty well, although I never learned how to read and write. What is the best way to leverage my speaking ability to make learning reading/writing Chinese easier? Like if there are any sites to learn with, or reading books, etc. Any tips?
