In my opinion, I find in the strictest sense of morphology, analytic languages are easier for me. Sad thing is that most analytic languages I know have tones, such as Mandarin, Thai, Vietnamese, etc. My biggest concern with synthetic languages is that tenses and aspects are very difficult concepts for me, and I find verb conjugations troublesome and unnecessary. Which one do you think is easier for you to learn?
