I really want to like italki. Am I the only person put off by the fact that very few people write a bio? Those that do, rarely include their interests. I think it’s important to find language exchange partners with whom you share common interests. I wish there was an option to filter out people without a bio. Some will write that they aren’t looking for a date....without a proper bio, apart from location and language, their physical appearance is the only thing to consider -that seems counterintuitive no?
Or could it be that most language learners have no interests in their lives beyond learning a language? Even still it would be helpful if they at least wrote that in their bio :(
