I just made /r/languagecheck, an alternative to lang-8.

If you're not familiar with lang-8 it was a website where you could write in your target language and have natives correct your writing, and likewise, you could view and check other people's writings. I found the site very useful, but then they suspended new account creations and activity on the site has dropped.

It's been a long time and nothing has changed, so I made /r/languagecheck, where the idea is the same. You can write in your target language, and hopefully natives will view the subreddit and check your writing.

In addition to writing, you can also use a voice-recording application to record yourself speaking, and have natives critique your accent, melody, and other factors associated with speaking.

I hope this somewhat takes off and it useful for someone.
