How to study sentences?

I have been following Gabriel Wyner's method from his book (no translations, only photos). This approach has been extremely helpful for me.

I would like to start studying complete sentences now, but am not sure how I should add them to my SRS (Anki).

  1. Do I add use pictures to describe the sentence? IF so, do I risk not fully understanding every word?
  2. Do I use the english translations? If so, do I risk translating the word in my head instead of thinking in my target language?
