I am trying to find more interesting French content that is similar to what I enjoy in English and I am running into some difficulties.
1) Is there a way to filter youtube so you only see French videos? I changed my location settings to France and my language to French, but most of the recommended videos are still in English (likely because most of my history is watching English videos). I suppose I could log out of my account or make an alternate account- but I am hoping there is simply a filter to only show videos in a certain language.
2) Is there a tool that allows you to find similar entertainers, authors, etc. who work in another language? For example, I really enjoy the written work and online interviews/podcasts with Malcolm Gladwell and Michael Lewis, and rather than reading the French translations of their work, I was hoping to find a French author with a similar style. I tried looking up their books on amazon in French and seeing what other books were reccomended, but it wasn't particularly helpful. I am struggling to find personalities I am drawn to.
In general, it doesn't feel like I am breaking through to the French web (or maybe there just isn't one?) It still feels like I am looking at French content on predominantly English websites. Any tips for finding more French content? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!
