I've been trying for weeks to learn how to vibrate the tip of my tongue in order to do the trill (I'm not studying Spanish, but it's like <rr> in Spanish). I think I finally figured it out, and I distinctly feel the tip of my tongue vibrating, but my friends tell me that it doesn't sound right or that it sounds like it's still coming from the back of my mouth. What's going on? How can the tip of my tongue be vibrating without producing the correct sound?
