Hello there,
In order to improve my German and Italian vocabulary, I started to watch TV shows from Netflix (with subtitles and target language audio ofc.).
My main issue is that subtitles are paraphrasing whats being said, and they are not actual transcript of the spoken words. I find it very distracting when it comes to language learning!
In your opinion, is it better to: 1) disable subtitles altogether (watch clean dubbed version of the video) 2) keep on watching with subtitles and try to get used in difference between spoken and written content.
