I’m interested in learning Russian, but due to interests in other languages, I think it would be best just to learn how to read and understand spoken Russian.
I don’t plan to live in a Russian speaking area or visit it a lot, my main motivation for it is pure interest and an interest in history. If I do change my mind and decide I want to be able to speak it, then it shouldn’t be too hard with all the input, right?
Has anyone else learned a language like this? I’ve heard how hard Russian is, but would you say it’s slightly easier since I’m not interested in the output side?
