I've been considering different ways to improve my (TL)s vocabulary and most of them feel extremely unnatural because the things I'm interested in would become unenjoyable if I had to force myself to engage in them in a language that I'd need to stop constantly to search for certain words instead of just engaging in them in my native language or english.
So, I was thinking about simply translating past and future conversations I have online with friends into my target languages, as these are conversations that I'd already have naturally.
I think this would make acquiring my daily life vocabulary much faster, with the two main issues being a lack of repetition since conversations are always flowing to different topics and that it would be more of a basic vocabulary...
Have you tried this method?
