Note - I am aware that this subreddit is not for specific languages, but Arabic as a language tree is quite large and I think might be applicable to people studying more than the dialect that I am asking about, as well as those studying languages with few resources in general.
Hello! I was wondering if anyone has found any luck mining for Arabic, with appreciation for Egyptian specific details, but any advice regarding less common languages in general would also be helpful.
There are a few videos on youtube that have egyptian arabic and English subtitles, however these are the minority. What do you all suggest for languages that have extremely limited options?
At best I'll find Arabic videos that have subtitles in English, but no Arabic. Sometimes the other way around. Sometimes they're burned in the video, and sometimes they're not. Either way, incredibly inconsistent. I am about 2 years into Arabic study, so I have a good amount of vocabulary down. Listening is definitely my weakness and I attribute to a lack of enjoyable listening practice experiences.
Any suggestions? Thanks! (TL)
edit - Any suggestions for how to use anki in this progress would be amazing. None of the tools have Arabic options that I know about, and if they do, it's kind of moot without the youtube subs anyways.
