I ran a class and an app side by side for about 4 months on Italian (TL), partly to test something I'd assumed for years, that most apps are redundant once you're already in some kind of structured instruction.
Turned out I was wrong or partly wrong at least. I'll say the app worked more as an add on to the class than a replacement for it. The class was the structure with someone catching my mistakes as I made them but the app was the one for more input plus practicing between classes.
So I think I can say that in this instance, alongside worked. Does anyone have a different POV or did you try both and it paid off?
