I have gotten a lot out of Learn to read Latin by Keller and I am working through Sandbergs German for reading. These textbooks are extremely effective for my goals of just learning to read quite difficult texts in these languages as quickly as (TL) possible ex: (Vergil, Nietzsche, Freud) are there any equivalents for other languages? It took a lot of research to find these ones, and I was hoping this could act as a thread for textbooks focussed on reading.
The main criteria would be that the book is focussed on reading classics in the original language.
