hi, i need to take an intro foreign language class for the degree i'm pursuing, and i'm torn between two languages (TL) i've been wanting to learn: french and korean. i'm a native english speaker and i'm abt b2 in spanish. my predicament w these two languages is that french has some similarities with spanish, whereas korean is completely different. i wasn't sure if it's "better" to go for a language that's similar to one i already speak (or if that'll actually be more confusing since i'm not yet fluent in spanish), or if it's
"better" to go for something completely different that won't compete in any way w my spanish. i was wondering how you all decided on a third language (if you factored these things into your decision) and what advice you may have regarding picking up a third language. thanks in advance!
