anyone know if a Frequency Dictionary is worth it?

My personal goal is to learn a language good enough for understanding/conversing with family and for staying periods in that country (like working a summer job), so maybe around B2 as I don't really need to know how to write a long essay or read lots of documentation as I live abroad officialy.

I know Anki exists but I prefer physical copies for making personal annotations etc.

Would anyone recommend this kind of book for my personal goal?
