Hi there! My fiancé and I are going to Barcelona and Mallorca for our honeymoon about 6 months from now, and I would love to be able to speak enough Spanish to feel comfortable wondering into shops, restaurants, etc and speak it.
A little background about my previous Spanish learning, I’m from the US and was taught Spanish from 3rd grade through freshman year of high school, before switching to German my last 3 years of high school. I can pretty easily read menus and understand what I’m ordering, understand numbers etc. My main struggles happen when trying to express either what I’m thinking or want in conversation where I constantly have to go to a translator for help. I work from home and can dedicate plenty of time over the months to improve and am looking for recommendations, whether that’s sites to use, apps, YouTube channels etc, to immerse myself more. The reason I’m asking here is I typically think most beginner courses are too easy (Duolingo) but don’t know where to go for the next step. Thank you in advance for any answers!
