Im trying to learn an ancient language and I have no idea how to even begin

Hi. Im trying to learn ancient [old] persian and does someone know any sources or ways to learn it either with or without guidance? I found one PDF from the linguist skjævø but I dont know why but i just seemingly can't learn it from that book nor properly understand it, I do have a dictionary of every attested old persian cuneiform term that exists so that might helo
