So I spoke essentially fluent Italian when I was a child. My mother is from Italy so she spoke to me in both English and Italian. I never really used it and can’t speak it anymore. I understand a little here and there still. I’m planning a trip to Italy next year and would like to be conversational so I can speak to my family over there. But… I’ve always wanted to learn Portuguese (Brazil).
Should I focus on Italian, I feel like I can re-learn it quicker. Or focus on Portuguese and deal with the Italian later?
