When taking a language in high school that you want to become proficient in, is it a good idea to study another language on your own at home and focus on the other mainly in school (with additional practice at home, but staying on pace with the class)? Or is it better to focus only on the one language that you take in school full time. The main problem I see with this is that in order to become proficient it might require going far ahead of the pace of the class, and therefore not getting much out of class. It would be cool if you guys could share your own experiences with this type of thing and give advice 👍
