I am fluent in English and Spanish, as well as conversational German. I’m tempted to learn either Italian or Portuguese, but false friends and gendered nouns become too daunting when I have to remember it across multiple languages. How do people memorize different gendered nouns? Or is it inevitable to make some slip ups the more languages you expose yourself to?
