What was the first thing you did to learn your language?

For me i started learning Spanish on Duolingo in 5th grade obviously i was young so I didn’t get very far but i started taking Spanish classes in 8th grade and started listening to music and translating that way :)

I also just started learning Korean very recently so the first thing I did was look up the Hangul alphabet and wrote down notes in a notebook until I could memorize it
