"Perfect" sentence mining?

"Perfect" sentence mining?

Hi everyone! A bit of background info: I’m currently learning Spanish mainly through immersion and sentence mining. I’m using Language Reactor with Netflix/YouTube and making cards out of sentences (where I’m unfamiliar with a word or two), onto a custom flashcard app that I’m creating as a side project.

I enter the sentence, and using AI, it generates the following “cards” so I can get quizzed on it:

  • Audio (an AI voice saying the sentence) to rebuilding the sentence, kinda like Duolingo
  • Given the audio, fill in the blank of the unfamiliar word(s)
  • Translate the whole sentence
  • Translate unknown words

Here's a short video of the process, or some pictures if you can't access the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pxaVOLRM2PruGwDqfhRBEcMShCXxMD7z/view?usp=sharing

Anyways, to those who are doing/have done sentence mining for your language learning, I’m wondering what your workflow looks like, what you like about it, or what you wish was different. Essentially, what would a “perfect” sentence mining setup look like to you? I’m looking to make my own little system better/more efficient for the sake of my Spanish. (Going to Mexico in 4 months!!!) Thanks for taking the time to read this. Additionally, if you want to try out the app just let me know. I’m going to be updating it based on what I learn from here, or just by general usage of it.
