Say 'you BETTER do this' formally

So basically, I'm doing something with my school and I really think they should finance it instead of me paying for it myself (for some very valid reasons but thats not what this post is about)

But to put in the email 'you better do pay for this' sounds a bit too demanding. So how should i formally formulate this?

I dont want to say 'I hope you can pay for this' because i want it to be clear it is UNACCEPTABLE if they dont. But in formal language.

Sooo does anyone have suggestions?
