Im planning some of my next languages and im curious what the main difference between b2 and c1 is mainly for having a social life. Can one have a true friendship with a monolingual in their TL with b2 or does it still feel like a language partner with them, having to slow speech and you have to to ask to them to repeat things many times.
Most of my languages my main goal is to be able to not only live in a country where its spoken to to have a somewhat normal social life with the ability to make real friendships that feel like a normal friendship and not a language exchange partner. Am I looking for b2 or c1 any advice or experiences you can share are appreciated.
