Studying a language at university

Hey - I just wanted to ask, if any of you have something to say about languages at universities? I learned spanish for 4 years in school and now I'll study spanish at the university; I'm really hyped about improving my spanish.

My questions are: what's your opinion about language learning at university? Is it a bad idea? Are there any languages / language-families you would recommend learning at university? Why (not)?
